A vision­ary energy concept
THE LANDING uses the most up-to-date concepts – thermal energy (foundation piles and wells), Danube water and photovoltaics as well as a high degree of prefabrication. The project is CO2-free and covers 100% of the operating energy requirements by local energy sources. Therefore the cost of maintenance, especially heating and cooling, will be substantially lower than in other projects.

The entire “House at the Kai“ building consists of a wooden structure. Wood is one of the oldest and most valuable ecological, natural raw materials – it can be degraded biologically without any residue.

THE LANDING is surrounded by Vienna’s largest sports facilities like the Ernst Happel Stadium. The new Sports Arena Vienna is just being built on the neigh­boring plot and it is going to be one of Europe’s largest indoor ball sport halls. It will be completed by 2026.
